Dr. Nick Van Dam

Nick is an internationally recognized thought leader, advisor and researcher on Corporate Learning and Leadership Development

Dr. van Dam has authored and coauthored more than 25 books and numerous articles on innovations in learning and leadership development.

He is a Board Member at IE University (Spain), Chief of the Center for Corporate Learning Innovation and a member of the IE Center for Health, Wellbeing and Happiness. He is a Professor at IE University, Nyenrode and the University of Pennsylvania. He is also affiliated with McKinsey & Company as an External Senior Advisor and the founder of the e-Learning for Kids Foundation

Katie Coates M.A.

Katie has over 25 years’ experience in talent development, primarily in financial and professional services

She is currently a Senior Learning Manager with McKinsey & Company, where she leads the learning strategy and curriculum development for 14,000 support professionals. Prior to McKinsey, Katie held several leadership positions at Deloitte, including Deputy Chief Learning Officer of Audit and Talent Development Services Leader in Hyderabad, India.

Additionally, Katie was the Director of Learning Design at Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong. She holds a Master’s degree in Instructional Systems Design from Penn State University and is currently a doctoral student in Human Development at Fielding Graduate University.
